St. Lawrence Seminary High School Alumni are the foundation of our brotherhood. They represent not only our past accomplishments but also our current and future ideals. SLS Alumni can be found in nearly every state across the U.S. and in many countries around the world. They are doctors, lawyers, teachers, religious leaders, fathers and so much more. Their successes are why we continue to educate young Catholic boys — so our future graduates can carry with them the Calvary Spirit and the values learned at SLS. As husbands, fathers, men of faith and citizens of their communities they bring to life the morality and values inspired by the Gospel of Jesus taught at St. Lawrence. This week, we chose to highlight another alumni brother, Jose Alonso, so you can get a glimpse of the many and diverse accomplishments of our brothers.
Jose Alonso (Class of 1999) is an attorney in Chicago, focusing on immigrants and workers’ rights. He is married to Sandra and together they have a son.

The alumni of St. Lawrence Seminary High School are a group of strong, intelligent, and inspirational men who have gone on to make astounding achievements in many different professions.
We sat down with two of our alumni to see what they’re doing today and to see the role that St. Lawrence played in their path to success.
My name is Tyler. I graduated from St. Lawrence Seminary in 2002. I currently live in Cottage Grove, MN with my wife Tara, and our 6 children (2 sons and 4 daughters).
Through the values taught at St. Lawrence, I learned how to truly grow, from being a boy, to becoming a man. It showed me that a man sacrifices for others, in the name of God, not himself. St. Lawrence taught me these sacrifices through work crews, public ministry, and service to those in need. It instilled the values of proper respect for life, for your brother, and most importantly, for God.
